My inaugural post for Fluff and Ruff Beach Glass Designs

I am sitting here composing my first entry on my brand new blog (intended to document what goes on behind the scenes at my Etsy shop, Fluff and Ruff Beach Glass Designs), while watching the women's gymnastics trials for the 2012 Olympics. Just for the record:  I am a notorious multitasker.
This inclination is as natural to me as breathing. Next to my chair and computer, I also have an open book (How to Sell Your Crafts on Etsy by Derrick Sutton) and have spent part of the day setting up my Flickr account and trying to figure out that whole "mini Etsy" thing (epic fail, so far, but I'll figure it out eventually). I have also opened a ning account and begun to post to forums in some effort toward exposing my product (beach glass and copper jewelry). I plan to start a second Etsy shop devoted to my copper stuff as soon as I find a block of time. (I even managed to fit in 30 minute of body sculpting this morning, which I have woefully omitted from my daily routine for something like four months now. Pitiful--and I must get back to it.)
Yesterday, I made one copper wire-wrapped ring and one copper cuff in anticipation of the seemingly distant holiday shopping season (per the Sutton book--by the way, it's jammed with all kinds of practical information about optimizing your advantage in selling online and organized in an easy-to-follow format). I also spent some time at the beach taking photographs of beautiful blue/turquoise/green lake scenes and wondering what I could conjure up from these shots  for my Etsy shop.
Part of me feels that this constant motion and busy-ness will ultimately result in something productive. This blog will record my journey, though perhaps not its final destination. And that will be part of the fun.

Welcome to my fluff & ruff state of mind.    ~~Gigi
